Flower Delivery in Istanbul — A Guide to Districts, Hotels and Seasonal Bouquets

The tulip is the flower of Istanbul. Not Dutch. Ottoman. The word itself came to Europe from here: Turks called the flower lâle, and Europeans heard tulipan — from the shape of the bud, resembling a turban (tülbent). In the 16th century, the flower travelled from here to Holland, triggered the famous "tulip mania," and eventually came back to Istanbul as an import. Today, in spring, tulips bloom across the hills of Emirgan Park, in the squares of Sultanahmet, in clay pots on the steps of Çiçek Pasajı in Beyoğlu — and in the bouquets we deliver across the city.

Istanbul is 16 million people, two continents, 39 districts and dozens of personalities. A bouquet lands differently in Beşiktaş than in Kadıköy. In Sultanahmet, the bouquet goes to a historical hotel with a bow-tied concierge; in Şişli, to a glass penthouse in Levent. We deliver across the entire city — but in each district we work differently. This guide tells you what to send where, what it costs, and how to order so you don't have to redo it.

If you just want to place an order — open the Istanbul catalog or message us on WhatsApp. Bouquet selection — in 10 minutes.

Delivery across 7 Istanbul districts — a city map

The city is huge. To avoid the bouquet sitting in traffic for two hours, we know in advance which district it goes to and which courier is closest. Here are the seven districts where we have dedicated local pages with hotels, landmarks, and delivery times.

Beşiktaş — Bosphorus, palaces, premium hotels

Beşiktaş is the postcard Istanbul. Dolmabahçe, Çırağan Palace, Four Seasons Bosphorus, Shangri-La, Çırağan Palace Kempinski. The most common requests here are arrangements for hotel rooms with Bosphorus views — cascade bouquets of peonies, hydrangeas, phalaenopsis orchids. Delivery time in Beşiktaş — from 1 hour.

Şişli — corporate Levent, premium residences

Şişli is corporate Istanbul. Levent, Mecidiyeköy, the district of skyscrapers, premium residences, Cevahir and Trump Towers malls. Orders are usually corporate bouquets for offices, congratulations for colleagues, deliveries to corporate receptions. Style — restrained, monochrome, sometimes a strict "masculine" bouquet with greenery and a single accent rose.

Beyoğlu — Taksim, Galata, nightlife

Beyoğlu is the Taksim, İstiklal and Galata Tower district. Bouquets travel here to dinners at Mikla, to 360 Istanbul, to Pera Palace, to studios and creative spaces in Çukurcuma. The bouquet style here is bold and distinctive. Calla lilies, amaranthus, dark roses, warm ochre tones. Young, creative crowd.

Sultanahmet — historic centre and five-star hotels

Sultanahmet is the most tourist-heavy district of Istanbul. Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace, Basilica Cistern. Historic hotels operate here: Four Seasons Sultanahmet, Çırağan Sultanahmet, Sirkeci Mansion, Sura Hagia Sophia. Bouquets to hotel rooms are the most frequent request from tourists arriving as a surprise to their wife or partner. We coordinate with the concierge so the bouquet awaits in the room.

Kadıköy — Asian side, bohemian district

Kadıköy is the other Istanbul. The Asian shore, Moda, Kalamış waterfront, Kadıköy bar street. Writers, designers, baristas and indie studio owners live here. Bouquets are often "hi, happy birthday" in boho style: dried flowers, lagurus, pampas grass, freesias, autumn berries. Delivery from the European side — about 1.5–2 hours via the bridge.

Sarıyer — Bosphorus, villas, elite yalıs

Sarıyer is the most expensive district of Istanbul. The northern Bosphorus shore, waterfront villas (yalı), restaurants like Sait Halim Pasha Yalısı, Lacivert, Mavi Balık. Major business owners, diplomats, celebrities live here. Bouquets are premium: David Austin Juliet, white peonies, cymbidium orchids, hydrangeas in glass vases. Delivery — to a villa address or restaurant, typically within 2 hours.

Üsküdar — traditional Istanbul on the Asian side

Üsküdar is the "real Istanbul" for those who love tradition. Mihrimah Sultan Mosque, Kuzguncuk district with its colourful wooden houses, Çamlıca Mosque on the hill. Bouquets are classic: 51, 101, 151 red roses for wives, daughters, mothers. Fresh peonies in spring, imported Kenyan roses year-round.

Major Istanbul hotels we deliver to

If the bouquet is going to a hotel — we know each one's procedure in advance. At some, the concierge receives in the lobby and takes it up to the room with a welcome note; at others, advance coordination is required. We work with every category:

Deluxe on the Bosphorus: Four Seasons Bosphorus, Çırağan Palace Kempinski, Shangri-La Bosphorus, Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Raffles Istanbul, Six Senses Kocataş.

Historic side: Four Seasons Sultanahmet, Pera Palace, Hagia Sophia Hotel, Ajwa Sultanahmet, Sirkeci Mansion.

Business and residences: The St. Regis Istanbul, Hilton Bomonti, Conrad Istanbul Bosphorus, Swissôtel The Bosphorus, Park Hyatt Maçka Palas.

Boutique hotels: Vault Karakoy, Soho House Istanbul, Georges Hotel Galata, Witt Suites Cihangir.

For most of these hotels we know who to ask for, how to get up, and the ideal delivery time so the bouquet meets the guest without delays.

Seasonal flowers in Istanbul — what's available when

Istanbul isn't an island, it isn't Dubai. There's a large regional flower market here and daily logistics from Holland. But local varieties are still better — fresher and half the price.

March — April. Tulip season. The Istanbul Tulip Festival blooms across the city — Emirgan, Gülhane, Sultanahmet. Bouquets — 51, 101-stem tulip arrangements, mixes with hyacinths and narcissi.

May — June. Peonies! Turkey grows its own peonies, mostly around Antalya and İzmir. They are available in Istanbul every day in May. Also — David Austin garden roses, ranunculus, lisianthus.

July — August. Heat. On the Bosphorus it's easier — the sea breeze — but we make arrangements heat-resilient: lisianthus, statice, anthuriums, orchids. Imported Ecuador and Kenya roses — year-round.

September — October. The most beautiful time in Istanbul. Yellow leaves along the Bosphorus, soft sun. Palette — ochre, burgundy, wine. Wedding March calla lilies, dahlias, hydrangeas, amaranthus.

November — February. Indoor season, but the flower market never closes. Imported peonies from Holland, tulips (earlier than anywhere in Europe), eucalyptus, ranunculus, phalaenopsis orchids.

5 scenarios — what to order in each

To avoid guessing, here are 5 typical scenarios and our recommendations.

1. A surprise for your wife at a Sultanahmet hotel. Get 51 peonies (€280) or a peony + hydrangea composition in a round box (€220). Delivery by 4 PM so the bouquet awaits in the room. Ask the concierge to place it on the nightstand, no notes on the outside.

2. A friend's birthday in Kadıköy. Boho bouquet with lagurus, freesias and dried elements (€140). Delivery — 2 hours before the party so the bouquet has time to "open."

3. Corporate gift for a director in Levent (Şişli). Restrained masculine bouquet — 7 callas, eucalyptus, burgundy ribbon (€180). Delivery to reception during working hours.

4. Congratulations to a mother on the Asian side (Üsküdar). Classic — 101 red roses (€250) or 51 roses + 5 chrysanthemums + greenery (€180). Delivery in the first half of the day.

5. A romantic dinner at Sait Halim Pasha Yalısı (Sarıyer). Bridal-style bouquet for your wife — David Austin peonies, garden roses, eucalyptus (€320). We bring it straight to the restaurant and hand it to the maître d'.
