Flower Delivery to Hotels and Airbnb Apartments in Lisbon: Four Seasons Ritz, Tivoli, Bairro Alto Hotel, Memmo, Verride

Lisbon is a city where flowers are ordered to hotels more often than to homes: people fly in for an anniversary, a honeymoon, a wife's birthday or "just a weekend", and they stay not in flats but in suites overlooking the Tagus and in Airbnb apartments on the hills of Alfama. Every address has its own rules: at the Four Seasons Ritz the concierge accepts the bouquet and takes it up to the room before check-in, at Memmo Alfama it is better to arrange the terrace at sunset, and in an apartment with a key box there is no concierge at all. Below is how it works in the city's real hotels and what is needed for the flowers to be in the room on time.

A bouquet of blush roses and orchids in a Lisbon hotel room overlooking the rooftops of Alfama and the Tagus — flower delivery to a hotel in Lisbon

In short: we deliver a bouquet to any hotel in Lisbon within 2–4 hours of photo approval, with no hotel surcharge. We need three things: the hotel's name, the guest's name in Latin letters as on the booking, and the date (or the check-in date — then the bouquet will be waiting in the room). For Airbnb apartments we arrange a time with the recipient or host in advance, because there is no concierge. Bouquets from €82, order on WhatsApp from any country.

How Hotel Delivery Works in Lisbon

The scheme is the same for five stars and for hostels: the courier does not go up to the room — in Portugal that is not done, and security will not allow it. Reception or the concierge accepts the bouquet, notes the guest's name and either takes it to the room or hands it over the next time the guest appears in the lobby. So we call the hotel in advance, give the name and time, and after handover send you a photo of the bouquet at the desk or in the room. What we need from you: the hotel, the guest's name in Latin letters exactly as on the booking (the concierge searches the system — "Katya Ivanova" and "Ekaterina Ivanova" are different people to him), the date and time slot, and the card text. The room number is not needed, the hotel knows it; the recipient's phone is useful, but for a surprise we can do without it.

The two most frequent scenarios. For check-in: the bouquet arrives in the morning of the check-in day, and reception places it in the room before the guest opens the door. For the return: while the couple is at dinner at Belcanto or at a fado house in Alfama, guest relations opens the room and the courier leaves the bouquet, petals and a card — we agree the time with the hotel a day ahead.

Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon

The 1959 grand hotel by Eduardo VII park, two minutes from Marquês de Pombal square. The best-drilled concierge in town: the bouquet is accepted at the Rua Rodrigo da Fonseca entrance, the guest is noted and the flowers go up to the room within an hour; for dinner at the CURA restaurant or on the terrace they are placed on the table at the reservation time if the manager is told half an hour ahead. Anniversaries and milestone birthdays are the most common orders here: large arrangements — "Golden Baixa" €495, "A Hundred Tagus Roses" €694 — and petals on the bed for the return. For wedding suites we discuss the décor in advance.

Tivoli Avenida Liberdade and Tivoli Oriente

Tivoli Avenida Liberdade stands halfway along the main boulevard, opposite the boutiques; reception in the lobby accepts the bouquet, at night the security at the entrance does. The hotel's most beautiful spot is the Sky Bar on the roof with a view of the whole city: if you want flowers with a sunset cocktail, the bar manager accepts them 20 minutes before the guests arrive, but a big bouquet gets in the way on a bar table — we suggest the compact "Chiado" €107 or "Miradouro" €146. At Tivoli Oriente in Parque das Nações everything is simpler: a car reaches the door, the lobby is spacious, delivery there is 30–40 minutes from the centre.

Bairro Alto Hotel

A boutique hotel on Praça Luís de Camões, on the border of Chiado and Bairro Alto: a pedestrian quarter, the car stops at Largo do Chiado and the courier walks 2 minutes. The reception is small and attentive — flowers are accepted by name and taken up at once. The main spot is the rooftop terrace overlooking the Tagus and the BAHR restaurant: a sunset table is booked a week ahead, and a bouquet for it goes via the hostess at the reservation time. Romantic surprises and proposals are ordered here: "Atlantic Dawn" €197 with callas and orchids, or a box arrangement that stands without a vase.

Memmo Alfama and Memmo Príncipe Real

Memmo Alfama hides in the Travessa das Merceeiras lane below the Sé cathedral — no car gets there, the courier walks up from Rua Augusto Rosa. An adults-oriented hotel with a terrace and a red pool above the Alfama rooftops; reception accepts the bouquet and takes it to the room, and if you want a surprise on the terrace we arrange it via guest relations. Memmo Príncipe Real on Rua Dom Pedro V has a terrace above the Príncipe Real gardens and the Café Colonial restaurant; access is easier, and the lobby accepts flowers until midnight. For both Memmos we suggest medium-size bouquets: the rooms are intimate and a huge basket simply will not fit — "Tram 28" €119, "Cascais" €349.

Verride Palácio Santa Catarina

An 18th-century palace with 19 rooms by the Santa Catarina viewpoint (the one with the Adamastor): a pedestrian zone, the courier walks from Rua de São Paulo in 3 minutes. It is the most "private" address on the list — the staff know every guest by name, and the bouquet goes straight up to the suite or onto the table at the Suba restaurant with its river view. Proposals and honeymoons are ordered here: "A Hundred Tagus Roses" €694, "Atlantic Luxury" €833 or an arrangement matched to the interior — send us a photo of the room and we will choose.

Palaces and Grand Hotels: Pestana Palace, Olissippo Lapa Palace, The One Anunciada

Pestana Palace in Alcântara is the Marquês de Valle Flor's palace with a garden and peacocks: entry through a guarded gate, the concierge in the main building accepts the bouquet; for dinner in the garden, give an hour's notice. Olissippo Lapa Palace in the embassy quarter of Lapa is quiet, the car reaches the door and the concierge takes the flowers up in 15 minutes. The One Palácio da Anunciada on Rua das Portas de Santo Antão near Rossio has its lobby in the palace courtyard and accepts until 23:00. All three are frequent addresses for milestone birthdays and corporate gifts: arrangements from "Estrela Garden" €299 to "Fado Purple" €999.

Belém, Parque das Nações and Business Hotels

Altis Belém by the Doca do Bom Sucesso is for those who came for the Jerónimos and the Belém Tower: the car reaches the quay, delivery is 30 minutes from the centre. In Parque das Nações — Myriad by SANA in the Vasco da Gama tower (reception at waterfront level), Tivoli Oriente, Vila Galé Ópera; this is the district of conferences and the FIL exhibition centre, and we bring flowers here for speakers and partners — box arrangements that are easy to carry away. Around Marquês de Pombal and Sete Rios — EPIC SANA Marquês, InterContinental, Corinthia, Sheraton: big lobbies, 24-hour reception, delivery with no time limits.

Airbnb and Alojamento Local Apartments: When There Is No Concierge

Half of Lisbon's visitors stay in apartments with an AL (Alojamento Local) plaque — in Alfama, Bairro Alto, Príncipe Real, Estrela. There is no desk, the key sits in a code box by the door, the host lives in another district and the intercom may not work. So "leave it at reception" is impossible, and we work differently: (1) we contact the recipient an hour ahead and agree a time — the courier calls from downstairs and the recipient comes down or opens the door; (2) if it is a surprise, we message the host (you give us the contact from your Airbnb chat) — hosts often agree to meet the courier or give the code; (3) if nobody is there, we leave the bouquet at the café or mini-market on the ground floor — normal practice in Lisbon, where neighbours know each other — and send you a photo and the exact place. What we do not do: we never leave flowers on the stairs or at a street door — in Alfama they would be gone in ten minutes. For apartments we suggest bouquets that survive a wait: box arrangements with a wet sponge — "Belém Tower" €255, "Cascais" €349 — stand without water for several hours.

What We Need for the Order and What It Costs

For a hotel: the name, the guest's name in Latin letters, the date/slot or the check-in date, the card text, your phone for the photo. For an apartment: the exact address (street, number, floor and side — "2º dto."), the recipient's or host's phone, and a time when someone will be home. Prices are from the Lisbon catalog: compact bouquets €82–224, arrangements €255–495, premium €535–1770; delivery to any hotel or apartment within the city is included, there is no "hotel surcharge". We quote separately only Cascais, Estoril and Sintra (plenty of hotels there too — see the Cascais article) and "exact hour" delivery. Pay with any bank card, including Russian ones, by transfer, Apple/Google Pay or crypto; prices in detail in the Lisbon price guide, ordering from abroad in How to Send Flowers to Lisbon. Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need the room number to deliver flowers to a hotel in Lisbon? No. The hotel's name and the guest's name in Latin letters as on the booking are enough — reception finds the room itself. The recipient's phone is useful, but for a surprise we can do without it.

Will the courier take the bouquet up to the room? No, in Portugal the hotel staff do that: reception or the concierge accepts the bouquet and takes it to the room or hands it to the guest in the lobby. We notify the hotel in advance and send you a photo.

Can the bouquet be waiting in the room at check-in? Yes — it is our most common order. Give us the check-in date: the courier brings the flowers in the morning and reception places them in the room before the guest arrives. Works at the Four Seasons Ritz, Tivoli, Bairro Alto Hotel, Memmo, Verride and any other hotel in town.

How much does flower delivery to a hotel in Lisbon cost? The same as anywhere in the city: no hotel surcharge, bouquets from €82 delivered. Only Cascais, Estoril, Sintra and "exact hour" delivery are quoted separately.

Will you deliver to an Airbnb apartment with no reception? Yes. We agree a time with the recipient or host and the courier calls from downstairs; if nobody is there we leave the bouquet at the café or shop on the ground floor and send a photo and the exact place. We never leave it at a street door.

Can you arrange a petal surprise in the room while the couple is at dinner? Yes. We agree the time with guest relations the day before: while the guests are at a restaurant or a fado house, the courier leaves the bouquet, petals and a card in the room. Popular at the Bairro Alto Hotel, Memmo Alfama and Verride.

How do I get a bouquet to a table at a hotel restaurant or rooftop? Name the restaurant (CURA, BAHR, Suba, Tivoli Sky Bar), the reservation time and the name — the courier hands the bouquet to the hostess 20–30 minutes before the guests arrive. For rooftops we suggest compact bouquets so they do not crowd the table.

How fast will the bouquet reach the hotel? In the centre — 2–4 hours from photo approval; Belém and Parque das Nações — the same plus 30 minutes on the road. Order before 15:00 — same-day handover; for check-in, give us the date in advance.

What if the guest's name on the booking is spelled differently? Send us the name in Latin letters exactly as in the hotel confirmation and, if you have it, the booking number. The concierge searches the system, and "Katya" and "Ekaterina" are different records to him.

What should I give for an anniversary at a Lisbon hotel? For the intimate rooms of Memmo and the Bairro Alto Hotel — "Atlantic Dawn" €197 or "Cascais" €349; for the suites of the Four Seasons Ritz and Verride — "A Hundred Tagus Roses" €694 or "Atlantic Luxury" €833. We send a photo of the bouquet before the courier leaves.
