Can Flowers Be Delivered to an Aparthotel or Residential Complex in Batumi — and How: Orbi City, Alliance, Boulevard Towers, Old Town Flats

In short: yes — to the high-rise apart-complexes on Khimshiashvili Street and the new boulevard, to classic hotels, and to a flat in old Batumi. The difference is what the courier needs. For a hotel with its own reception (Sheraton, Radisson Blu, Hilton, Le Méridien, Wyndham) the hotel's name and the guest's name as on the booking are enough. In towers like Orbi City, Alliance Palace, Porta Batumi or Black Sea Towers most apartments belong to private owners and are rented through Booking and Airbnb — the complex reception does not know the guest's name, so we need the tower or block, the floor, the apartment number and the recipient's (or owner's) phone. For a city flat — the street with its current name, the entrance, the floor, the intercom code if there is one, and a phone. You choose a bouquet in the Batumi catalog, prices in US dollars from $86, delivery in the centre usually within 1–2 hours of confirmation, with a photo of the bouquet before the courier leaves.

Districts: Batumi Boulevard, Old Town, Gonio, Kvariati, Green Cape. The general ordering process is in how to order flowers in Batumi; rose bouquets are covered in roses in Batumi.

The Short Answer: Yes — but Batumi Has Three Different Kinds of Address

Over the last decade Batumi has filled with high-rises: along Sherif Khimshiashvili Street and the new boulevard stand 30–50-storey complexes where one building may house a hotel operator and hundreds of privately owned apartments rented by the night. Next to them are classic hotels with a reception and a concierge. And in the old town and around Chavchavadze Street there are low-rise houses with "Italian courtyards" and ordinary residential blocks. For flowers these are three different logistics, and the most common mistake is the same: the sender writes "Orbi City, 25th floor" — but Orbi City has three towers, several lobbies and thousands of apartments.

Type 1. Apart-Complex Towers: Orbi City, Alliance Palace, Porta Batumi, Black Sea Towers

How they work. A complex is several buildings (towers or blocks A, B, C) on a shared podium with shops; each building has its own entrance and lobby, and lifts are often split by floor groups. Some apartments are run by a hotel operator or a management company with a reception, but most belong to private owners who rent them through Booking, Airbnb or directly. A guest in such an apartment is not on the complex reception's list: security in the lobby only sees an apartment number.

What that means for a bouquet:

  • We need the exact apartment number, not just the floor. In the complex's format — for example "tower B, 25th floor, apt. 2514" (illustrative numbering). It is in the booking confirmation or in the chat with the owner.
  • We need the phone of whoever will open. The recipient's — or the owner's/manager's if it is a surprise. The courier calls from the lobby: in many towers you only go up to residential floors with a resident or after their call to security, and we do not count on "just walking up".
  • The complex reception is not always an option. If the apartment is privately rented, the desk downstairs is not obliged to accept and store a bouquet for a guest it does not know. We ask in advance and tell you honestly; we will not promise "we'll leave it at reception" without confirmation.
  • If the apartment is under an operator's brand (for example a Courtyard by Marriott room inside Alliance Palace or the hotel floors of Orbi), it works like a normal hotel: by guest name.

A specifically Batumi detail: lobbies are hot in summer and lifts to the upper floors can take a while. So we agree a window when the recipient is definitely in the apartment and do not leave flowers "at the desk until evening" in +30°C.

What to Send Us for a Tower — Checklist

  1. The complex name and address (several complexes on Khimshiashvili have similar names — Orbi City, Orbi Beach Tower, Orbi Sea Towers are different buildings).
  2. Tower / block / building and entrance, if there are several.
  3. Floor and apartment number.
  4. The recipient's name and phone — or the phone of the owner/manager who will open or come down.
  5. Preferred time window and card text (Russian, English or Turkish).
  6. If it is a surprise — a time when the recipient is definitely home, and whether the courier may call them directly.

Example: A Birthday Surprise in Orbi City

A young woman is on holiday in Batumi in an apartment booked through Booking; her boyfriend in Moscow wants a bouquet waiting when she wakes up. He forwards us the booking confirmation — tower, floor and apartment number — and the owner's phone. We message the owner, who confirms that security lets couriers up after a call to the apartment and that the guest usually goes out around 11:00. We give a 9:30–10:30 window and the price; he pays $154 for 'Warm Confession'. At 9:40 the courier in the lobby calls the apartment from our number — "a delivery for you, no need to come down" — goes up and hands it over at the door. A photo of the wrapped bouquet at the door goes to Moscow. About an hour and a half from confirmation to hand-over.

Type 2. Classic Hotels: Sheraton, Radisson Blu, Hilton, Le Méridien, Wyndham, Euphoria

This is the easiest case. Sheraton Batumi on Rustaveli, Radisson Blu on Ninoshvili, Hilton Batumi and Le Méridien by the boulevard, Wyndham in the old town, Euphoria on Khimshiashvili, Castello Mare in Gonio — hotels with a 24-hour reception that accepts flowers for guests by the name on the booking. No room number needed. We call ahead and check how the bouquet is handed over: taken to the room, kept at the desk with the guest informed, or the guest asked to come down. We have no partnerships with hotels — every delivery is agreed individually, so we only promise "in the room on arrival" after the hotel confirms. If the guest has not checked in yet, the bouquet waits at reception for check-in. More on boulevard hotels on the flower delivery on Batumi Boulevard page.

Type 3. A Flat in the Old Town or a Residential Building

Old Batumi around the Piazza, Europe Square and Zubalashvili, Gorgiladze and Melikishvili streets is two- to four-storey houses with walk-through courtyards and gates; apartments there are also let through Airbnb. Residential districts are ordinary blocks with stairwell entrances. What the courier needs to know:

  • Many streets have two names — the Soviet one and the current one — and listings use both. Send the address as it appears in the booking plus a landmark: locals explain "by the Piazza", "behind the McDonald's on Chavchavadze", "opposite the Alphabet Tower". Best of all — a Google Maps pin.
  • Entrance and floor are counted the familiar way. In Georgia the first floor is the one at ground level, as in Russia: "3rd floor" means the third, no conversion.
  • Intercoms and codes are not everywhere. In many buildings the entrance is open or the courtyard gate has a simple latch — the courier calls the recipient. If there is a code, send it.
  • We do not leave bouquets in courtyards: old-town courtyards are walk-through, summers are hot, winters are rainy.

Gonio, Kvariati, Green Cape: Complexes and Villas by the Sea

South of the city are Gonio and Kvariati with resort complexes (Castello Mare, Sea Towers Kvariati, villas along the road to Sarpi); to the north, Green Cape and Makhinjauri with hotels amid greenery and private houses on the slopes. Addressing is weaker here: house numbers on the highway are approximate and the navigator may lead to the neighbours' gate. What helps: a map pin, the name of the complex or villa, the phone of the recipient or owner — couriers are let into gated grounds after a resident's call. We advise ordering in advance rather than "within an hour": the drive from the centre takes time, especially in summer traffic towards Sarpi. District pages: Gonio, Kvariati, Green Cape.

If the Recipient Is Not There

We call them and you, wait a reasonable time in the lobby or at the entrance and move to the next window the same day — the bouquet goes back to the florist's cool room rather than standing in the heat. We can leave it at a tower's reception only if the desk agrees to take it and you or the recipient approve. We do not leave it with neighbours, with security "by word of mouth" or at the door.

A Surprise Without the Recipient Knowing: Where to Get the Details

If you do not want to ask the recipient for the address, the details are almost always with you or the host: the booking confirmation with the apartment number, the chat with the owner, a map pin the recipient sent you themselves. We can suggest how to word a message to the owner on your behalf. As a last resort the courier calls the recipient from the lobby as "a delivery" — the surprise holds until the door opens.

Timing: When We Deliver

In central Batumi, including the towers on Khimshiashvili and the new boulevard — usually within 1–2 hours of confirmation, or exactly at the agreed time. For Gonio, Kvariati and Green Cape — better to order in advance, a few hours ahead or for the next day. 101 roses and large arrangements — a day ahead. There is no round-the-clock service; we give the window before payment.

Prices and Payment

Prices in the Batumi catalog are in US dollars: compact bouquets $86–241, medium bouquets and baskets $266–476, premium $500–1,015. City delivery is included. Payment by card from any country, bank transfer or cryptocurrency — at confirmation, nothing to pay on delivery. The card is printed in Russian, English or Turkish.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you deliver to Orbi City if I only know the floor? No — Orbi City has several towers and thousands of apartments. We need the tower, floor, apartment number and the phone of whoever will open. These are in the booking confirmation.

Will the complex reception accept a bouquet for a guest in a private apartment? Not always: the desk downstairs keeps no guest lists for private flats and is not obliged to store parcels. We check in advance and tell you honestly.

Do I need a room number for a hotel? No — Sheraton, Radisson Blu, Hilton, Le Méridien and Wyndham accept flowers by the guest's name on the booking.

The recipient rented a flat through Airbnb in the old town — what do you need? The address as on the booking, a landmark or map pin, entrance, floor, intercom code if any, and the recipient's or host's phone.

Will you deliver to Gonio or Kvariati the same day? Usually yes, if the order is confirmed earlier in the day and the recipient is reachable; we do not promise "within an hour" there — it is a drive from the centre along the Sarpi road.

What if the recipient does not answer the courier's call? We call you, wait a reasonable time and move to the next window the same day. We do not leave flowers in a hot lobby.
