Can Flowers Be Delivered to an All-Inclusive Hotel in Hurghada — and How: Reception, Guest Relations, Wristbands, Excursion Days

In short: yes — to any hotel in Hurghada from El Gouna to Soma Bay, but not the way flowers reach a city flat. Hurghada's resorts are closed territories: security at the gate, wristbands on guests, no outsiders inside, and the courier does not walk to rooms, the beach or the pools. The bouquet is handed over via reception or guest relations — a staff member calls the room, takes the flowers up or invites the guest to the lobby. For that we need the exact hotel name (Hurghada brands run 4–6 hotels each with similar names), the guest's name in Latin letters as on the tour-operator voucher and, for a surprise, a time when the guest is not on a day trip to Luxor or a boat to Giftun. Orders confirmed before 14:00 Hurghada time are delivered the same day: 1.5–2.5 hours to the centre and Sakkala, 2–3.5 to El Gouna, Sahl Hasheesh and Makadi, 3–4 to Soma Bay and Safaga. Prices in US dollars from $89; you choose the bouquet in the Hurghada catalog, get a photo before the courier leaves and a confirmation from reception afterwards.

General city questions — on the flower delivery in Hurghada page. Neighbouring resorts: El Gouna, Sharm El Sheikh. Paying from Russia or Kazakhstan — here.

Why a Hurghada Hotel Is Not "Drive Up and Hand It Over"

Hurghada is a tour-operator resort: most guests arrive on charter flights, stay all-inclusive and rarely leave the grounds. A hotel is built like a gated town: a barrier and security at the entrance, a wristband as the guest's pass to food and beach, a private beach, its own restaurants, its own entertainment team. Someone off the street — even with a bouquet — does not get in, and during the day the guest may be anywhere between the lobby and the reef. So in Hurghada we work not "to the room door" but "to reception and into the guest's hands via staff", and we plan the delivery around the resort's routine rather than around an address.

How the Bouquet Is Handed Over: Reception, Guest Relations, the Room

Every resort hotel in Hurghada has a 24-hour reception, and hotels with 300+ rooms have a separate guest relations desk — usually with Russian-speaking staff, because Russian-speaking guests have wintered here for decades. We call the hotel in advance, give the guest's name, ask how they handle it and get one of three options:

  1. A staff member takes the bouquet to the room — usually if the guest is at the beach or on an excursion; we ask for a photo in the room if the hotel is willing to take one.
  2. Guest relations calls the room and invites the guest to the lobby — the best option for a face-to-face surprise: the courier waits in the cool lobby and hands it over in person.
  3. The bouquet stays at reception with a note and the guest collects it on return — if the guest is off the grounds until evening.

We have no partnerships with hotels and every property has its own rules: Steigenberger Al Dau and Hilton Hurghada Plaza on Village Road, the Marriott on Sheraton Road, the Pickalbatros family giants on Safaga Road, Baron Palace in Sahl Hasheesh or the Kempinski in Soma Bay may answer differently. We tell you what the specific hotel said and do not promise "in the room on arrival" until reception confirms it.

Which Hotel Name We Need — and Why "Albatros" Is Not Enough

In Hurghada brands run several hotels along the same highway. Pickalbatros means Pickalbatros Palace, Albatros Aqua Park, Beach Albatros, Albatros White Beach, Dana Beach and Jungle Aqua Park. Sunrise — Garden Beach, Crystal Bay, Holidays, Royal Makadi. Jaz — Aquamarine, Makadi, Casa del Mar. Titanic — Beach, Palace, Royal. Steigenberger — Al Dau, Aqua Magic, Pure Lifestyle and the Golf Resort, which is already in El Gouna. The difference between them is up to 20 kilometres and several hours for the courier. So we take the name verbatim from the tour-operator voucher or the booking, not "the Titanic with the water park".

The second peculiarity: the guest often does not know the address, because a transfer brought them and the tour operator chose the hotel. If you are sending flowers to your mother or girlfriend, ask for a photo of the voucher or a screenshot from the tour operator's app — it has the exact name and the Latin-letter name as in the passport, under which the hotel will find the guest. No room number needed.

The Resort Routine: When the Guest Is Definitely Not There

In Hurghada you miss the recipient not by address but by time. A typical day: breakfast 7:00–10:00, beach and pool until 16:00–17:00, dinner from 18:30. And excursions take the guest away for the whole day:

  • Luxor in a day — the bus leaves at 4:00–5:00 and returns after 21:00. Flowers that day go only to reception for the evening or to the room.
  • Boat to Giftun, Orange Bay, Mahmya, Dolphin House — boarding around 8:00, back 16:00–17:00. To hand over before departure, we deliver by 7:00 to the lobby or to the Marina pier before boarding.
  • Desert safari — leaves 14:00–15:00, back after 20:00.
  • Cairo in a day — even earlier than Luxor, nearly a full day away.

So for a surprise we ask the sender not "when is convenient" but "what has she got planned that day". If you don't know — the best window in Hurghada is 17:30–19:00, when everyone is back from the beach and not yet at dinner.

Check-in and Check-out: 14:00 and 12:00

Check-in at Hurghada hotels is 14:00 (charters from Russia and Kazakhstan often land at night, and guests check in in the morning waiting for a room), check-out is 12:00. A bouquet "on arrival" goes up after the hotel confirms the room is assigned — usually in the afternoon of the arrival day. A bouquet "for departure" we bring the evening before: on the flight day the guest has no room after 12:00, and the airport transfer collects them four hours before the flight. We also do airport meetings with a bouquet at Hurghada airport — see the city FAQ.

Zones: 40 Kilometres of Hotels — and Different Travel Times

  • Centre, Sakkala, Marina, Dahar — city hotels and aparthotels, 1.5–2.5 hours. Home of Hurghada Marina and the waterfront restaurants.
  • El Mamsha / Village Road and Sheraton Road — the main resort strip: Steigenberger Al Dau, Hilton Plaza, Marriott, Sunrise Garden Beach. 1.5–2.5 hours.
  • Al Ahyaa and El Kawther in the north — simpler hotels and many winter-resident apartments, 2–3 hours.
  • Sahl Hasheesh — a gated bay with its own checkpoint at the entrance: Baron Palace, Old Palace, Premier Le Reve, Tropitel. 2–3.5 hours; bay security lets the courier through after a call to the hotel.
  • Makadi Bay — another gated enclave: Cleopatra Luxury, Stella Di Mare, Jaz Makadi, Sunrise Royal Makadi. 2–3.5 hours.
  • Soma Bay and Safaga — Kempinski, Sheraton Soma Bay, Robinson, Mövenpick. 3–4 hours; the distance surcharge is quoted before payment.
  • El Gouna — a separate private town to the north with entry control; see below.

Marsa Alam and El Quseir — on request; that is a different distance.

El Gouna: A Private Town, Not a Hotel

El Gouna, 25 km north, is not a resort hotel but a whole town on lagoons with controlled entry. Inside are hotels (Steigenberger Golf, Mövenpick, Sheraton Miramar, Casa Cook, Cook's Club), lagoon villas and apartments let by the night, Abu Tig Marina and Downtown. To an El Gouna hotel the bouquet goes as everywhere — via reception by guest name. To a villa or apartment we need the lagoon or compound name, the villa number and the recipient's or owner's phone: the courier passes the gate after a call and finds the door by the recipient's phone inside. More on the flower delivery in El Gouna page.

Heat: Why We Hand Over in the Lobby and Don't Wait at the Barrier

Hurghada summers are +35…+38°C with a constant wind; winters +22…+25. A bouquet cannot wait for the recipient in a car at the checkpoint or in the sun at the entrance — it loses its look in half an hour. So every hand-over happens inside an air-conditioned lobby, the time is agreed in advance, and for the hot season the florist chooses hardy flowers: dense roses, chrysanthemums, orchids, anthuriums, strelitzias, callas, boxed arrangements on floral foam. Hydrangeas and peonies — on pre-order and only for an air-conditioned room. Take the bouquet onto the sea-view balcony for the photo only.

What the Courier Does Not Do at a Hotel — and Why

  • Does not go to the beach, the pool or the hotel restaurants — that is a closed area for wristband guests.
  • Does not search the grounds for the guest — hands over to staff or waits for the guest in the lobby in the agreed window.
  • Does not leave the bouquet with gate security or with "the animator who knows her".
  • Does not name the sender if you want the surprise kept: guest relations say only "a delivery for you".

If the guest is off the grounds and the hotel won't hold flowers, we call you, offer an evening window and keep the bouquet cool at the florist's.

Example 1: Mum's Birthday in Makadi Bay

A daughter in Almaty; her mother and a friend are at Jaz Makadi on a package holiday. The daughter sends a photo of the voucher — hotel name and Latin-letter name — and says they have a boat trip on Wednesday. We move to Thursday and call guest relations: flowers for guests are accepted and taken to the room. At 10:30, while Mum is at breakfast, a staff member places 'Sahl Hasheesh' at $89 with a card in Russian in the room; the photo from the room goes to Almaty. About two and a half hours from the florist, no surcharge for Makadi.

Example 2: A Surprise for a Girlfriend on Village Road

He is in Moscow; she is with friends at Steigenberger Al Dau. He doesn't know her plans and wants it "definitely into her hands". We suggest a 17:30–18:30 window — everyone is back from the beach. Guest relations call the room: "a delivery for you in the lobby"; the courier hands over 'Red Sea Breeze' at $164 in person, and a photo, with her consent, goes to Moscow. The sender was not named until the hand-over.

Checklist: What to Send Us

  1. The exact hotel name — from the voucher or booking (not "Albatros", not "Sunrise").
  2. The guest's name in Latin letters as in the passport; no room number needed.
  3. Arrival and departure dates — so we don't deliver on a day when the room is already gone.
  4. What is planned for the delivery day: excursion, boat, nothing.
  5. Surprise or not; whether the sender may be named.
  6. Card text — in Russian, English or Arabic.
  7. Your phone or messenger for coordination; the guest's phone is optional.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the courier be let into an all-inclusive hotel in Hurghada? Into the guest areas — no, it is a closed wristband zone. To reception and the lobby — yes; from there staff hand the bouquet over or the guest comes down.

Do you need the room number? No. The hotel finds the guest by the booking name; write it in Latin letters as in the passport and voucher.

The guest only knows "the Titanic with the water park". What now? Ask for a photo of the tour-operator voucher or a screenshot from its app. Titanic has three hotels in Hurghada, Pickalbatros six.

Same-day delivery? Yes, if the order is confirmed before 14:00 Hurghada time and the florist has the flowers: centre 1.5–2.5 hours, El Gouna / Sahl Hasheesh / Makadi 2–3.5, Soma Bay / Safaga 3–4. No round-the-clock service.

Does the hotel take the flowers to the room? Most often yes, but the hotel decides, not us. We call ahead and tell you what they said.

Can the bouquet be waiting in the room on arrival? Yes, once the hotel confirms the room is assigned — usually in the afternoon of the arrival day; check-in is from 14:00.

What if she is in Luxor that day? We move to the evening or the next day — the Luxor bus returns after 21:00. That is why we ask about excursions in advance.
