How Flower Delivery Works in the Área Romántica
The Área Romántica is San Sebastián's centre, laid out after the city walls came down in 1863 on a Parisian model: straight streets between the La Concha promenade and the Urumea river, buildings with bay windows and wrought-iron balconies, the Buen Pastor cathedral on the axis of Calle Loiola. The streets are open to traffic, there are underground car parks (Boulevard, Okendo, Buen Pastor) and almost every building has a portero, which makes it the easiest district for our courier: 2–3 hours from photo approval, orders before 15:00 delivered the same day. The courier rides a scooter and covers the last metres of pedestrian Loiola and San Marcial on foot.

The Hotel María Cristina (Luxury Collection) by the Victoria Eugenia Theatre is the headquarters of the Zinemaldia film festival: bouquet to the concierge under the guest's name, to a table at Café Saigon or the Dry bar at the reservation time. The buildings of the Área Romántica hold expensive flats with porteros and the offices of lawyers, clinics and agencies along Urbieta and San Martín. For a flat we need the street, number, floor and door ("2º dcha"), surname and phone — the courier calls 15–20 minutes ahead; the portero takes the bouquet only with your consent. For an office — company name and recipient, delivered in working hours. At the boutiques of Loiola, Garibai and Hernani (Loewe, Massimo Dutti, local Minimil and Elena Lasa) we hand over at the entrance at an agreed time.

Amelia by Paulo Airaudo at Villa Favorita, Narru at the Arbaso, Bodegón Alejandro and Casa Urola on the edge of the old town, Café de la Concha right on the beach, La Perla — the thalasso centre and restaurant on the promenade, perfect for a birthday. An anniversary at the María Cristina, a milestone birthday on the Café de la Concha terrace, a Zinemaldia premiere (September) — flowers for an actress go via the hotel reception — concerts at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre and the Kursaal, the Tamborrada on 20 January (the Boulevard and Plaza Gipuzkoa are closed — order for daytime), Easter processions, Valentine's Day and 8 March, the La Concha rowing regattas on September Sundays, a housewarming in a flat facing the cathedral.
